Teeth Whitening in Grapevine Texas

Everybody loves a bright, white smile, and there are a variety of ways to achieve it. The Grapevine Dentist offers different whitening procedures to help. First, we’ll be happy to share with you whether whitening would be effective for you. Teeth whitening does not work for everyone. For example, yellowish teeth will probably whiten well, brownish teeth may whiten less well, and grayish teeth may not whiten well at all. Likewise, whitening may not enhance your smile if you have had composite fillings or dental crowns. The whitener will not affect the color of these materials and they will stand out in your newly whitened smile. In these cases, you do have other options, such as porcelain veneers. Many people are satisfied with the sparkle they get from brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, flossing once a day, and regular cleanings at the dentist’s office. However, if you decide you would like to go beyond regular care to make your smile look brighter, there are many options from which to choose.

Best Teeth Whitening

Every individual will whiten differently. Some will see immediate results while others might take a little longer or multiple tries of different whitening procedures until they find the one they prefer! Some examples of teeth whitening systems are:

  • Professional zoom whitening
  • At-home whitening system-customized trays
  • Whitening toothpaste
  • RX strength whitening Strips

How To Whiten Teeth

All 4 whitening systems work differently. Here is a quick reference on how each whitening system works! Take-home whitening kit is a customized tray where you place your whitening gel and whiten at your own convenience. Whitening toothpaste will be used morning and night instead of your normal toothpaste. Whitening strips are used 1x a day for 30 minutes, they’re a peel-off film that is placed on top of the teeth and removed after 30 minutes. Zoom whitening is a whitening system that is done in your dental office by having the product placed on your teeth and then we use light to cure the whitening gel for 3-4 sessions of 15 min increments each.

In-Office Teeth Whitening

Come into our office for about an hour and leave with a white smile. During chair-side Zoom-whitening,  a whitening agent is applied to your teeth and a special light is used to enhance the action of the agent. Chair-side tooth bleaching is great for those who want an immediate result. We also recommend custom take-home teeth whitening trays for all of our chair-side whitening patients so they can touch up their white smile any time and keep it at its brightest and best all the time.

About the Zoom Whitening Process:

Zoom! is a professional tooth whitening treatment that gets your teeth an average of eight shades whiter — in just one hour. The treatment is safe, simple, and relaxing! Plus, Zoom whitening is championed by dentists and patients as a pain-free process.

  • To prepare for Zoom whitening, your dentist will examine your teeth and gums to make sure they are healthy.
  • Your lips and gums will be covered with an isolation material to protect them during the teeth bleaching treatment.
  • Then, we apply the Zoom whitening gel, which is activated by the Zoom light source. The teeth bleaching gel and light work together to gently break up the stains on your teeth.
  • After three 15-minute applications within one hour, you rinse and the tooth whitening treatment is complete – leaving you with a brighter, whiter smile.

Teeth Whitening Kit

Our team will take impressions of your teeth and make two custom whitening “trays” that fit your teeth exactly that you can wear at night to whiten teeth while you sleep or during the day if you wish. The trays hold a tooth bleaching solution that will gently lighten the share of your teeth over a period of seven to fourteen days. Every few months you can “touch up” your whitening by wearing your custom whitening trays for a day or two to keep your teeth their whitest.

Whitening toothpaste

All toothpaste help remove surface stain from your teeth through the action of mild abrasives. “Whitening” toothpaste in the ADA Seal of Acceptance program have special chemical or polishing agents that provide additional stain removal effectiveness and whiten teeth. Unlike professional whitening, these products do not alter the intrinsic color of teeth.

The best way to whiten teeth is with professional assistance from The Grapevine Dentist. Call us today to set a teeth whitening consultation! teeth can discolor through the years as our enamel wears down. The wearing down of enamel allows dentin, a yellow color substance that makes the core of our teeth, to show through. This is what gives our teeth a yellowish tint. Teeth whitening helps restore teeth to a shiny white color through the use of bleach.

Teeth Whitening Strips

The Grapevine Dentist uses Sheer White! This system is teeth whitening strips which are thin, flexible plastic (polyethylene) strips with a thin film of hydrogen peroxide bleaching on one side. Teeth whitening strip kits come with two types of strips: strips for the upper teeth and strips for the lower teeth. The whitening agent is applied by placing the strips across your teeth and gently pressing the strips into place to ensure contact with all your teeth. Teeth-whitening strips are typically worn for 30 minutes a day, twice a day. The duration of treatment will vary. Whitening strips contain a lower concentration of whitening agent than professional whitening procedures and are more difficult to use on all your teeth.

“What can I say this place is wonderful. I am very apprehensive about visiting the dentist due to some rather horrible experiences in the past (like pulling the wrong teeth, yup). The ladies that work there are true professionals. They treat you like one of the family and even offered to hold my hand during the procedure. The Dr. was wonderful, kind, and informative. You better believe it when I say this is the place to go for all your dental hygiene needs. I will make this my local family dentist from now on. Thanks, Grapevine Dentist Professionals!!!!!!!!!!”

“I always have a great experience at The Grapevine Dentist. I am always greeted by friendly staff when I walk in, I feel comfortable and relaxed with the hygienist during my cleaning, and when I check out afterward I am sure to schedule my next visit. Dr. Nunes is also very personable and you feel like a star patient when you are there. My husband and I keep going back and appreciate the respect for our time and the atmosphere at the office during visits.”
